Our Cosmic Stranger Chat feature connects you with other users based on zodiac compatibility. This section explains how we handle data specific to this feature.
Chat Messages
Text messages exchanged during stranger chat sessions are stored temporarily for the duration of the session and for safety/moderation purposes. Messages are automatically deleted when a chat session ends and both users disconnect.
Video & Audio Chat
Video and audio streams are transmitted peer-to-peer using WebRTC technology. We do not record, store, or monitor video/audio calls. However, the other user may use third-party tools to record or screenshot the session.
Matching & Session Data
We collect your zodiac sign, gender preference, and session timestamps to facilitate matching. This data is used to pair you with compatible strangers and is removed from the matchmaking queue once you are matched or disconnect.
Safety & Moderation
We may retain limited session metadata (timestamps, user IDs, and IP addresses) for safety and abuse prevention purposes. This data helps us investigate reports of harassment, inappropriate behavior, or violations of our terms.
Friend Requests
If you send or receive a friend request during a stranger chat, both users' identifiers are stored to maintain the connection. You can remove friends at any time from your profile settings.
Important: Be cautious about sharing personal information (real name, phone number, address, financial details) with strangers during chat sessions. We cannot control how the other user may use information you voluntarily share in conversation.
Age Restriction & Eligibility
The Stranger Chat feature is strictly intended for users aged 18 and above. By using this feature, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
- • We do not knowingly allow minors (under 18) to access the stranger chat feature
- • If we discover that a user under 18 has accessed this feature, we will immediately terminate their access and delete associated data
- • Users must have a verified account (via Clerk authentication) to access stranger chat
- • We reserve the right to request age verification at any time
